October 30, 2012 Transcript of #CommsChat on the rise of tablets
Last night on #CommsChat, we discussed everything about tablets from iPads to apps. We looked at the relevance of desktop computers in an increasingly mobile world and the effectiveness of advertising on mobile devices.
Here are some highlights from last night:
@dizzernp Thing to remember about tonight’s #commschat is that the tablet has been a favoured means of communicating key messages since Moses!
@nlakeland Competition will drive innovation & improve user-experience. Just look at what Google have developed in their latest #Nexus range
@5rule5 Tablets are great but they are consumption devices primarily. If you are creating anything then they wouldn’t be first choice
@Midinotes Windows 8 will be exciting for the tablet AND laptop world! Needs more apps and time to mature
@Engagingbrand Lol….we once moved from walking on all fours, now we need minty thin fingers to survive in digital jungle
@Midinotes Understandable as people more engrossed in tablets and able to devote time to clicking adverts.. Mobile users haven’t time
