July 14, 2016 #CommsChat on writing skills for IC
This week on #CommsChat we throw a spotlight on how important good writing skills are for effective internal communication. With Helen Deverell (@helendeverell), and Rachel Miller, (@AllthingsIC), we will explore the value of writing, its effectiveness in improving internal communications – and whether alternatives might be just as valuable.
- Is it important for communicators to be good writers? Why?
- Can writing skills be taught or is it an innate skill?
- Does the desire for more authentic communications diminish the need for writing skills?
- To be a good writer, do you need to be a good storyteller and vice versa? Why?
- Are basic writing skills enough when communicating for different audiences and channels?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place from 8-9pm GMT. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter.
