June 6, 2014 #CommsChat on the future of comms
Communications is a rapidly evolving industry, where will we be in five, or ten, years time? In the run up to futurecomms 2014, #CommsChat will discuss the future of our industry with @adamcranfield who heads up global marketing for Mynewsdesk. Topics include:
- Will content decisions be based more on previous performance than creative ideas?
- Will employers prioritise data skills over journalism skills when recruiting comms employees?
- Will paid, independent, impartial journalism eventually die out?
- Will brands question the value-for-money large agencies offer, given results small agencies can achieve using comms technology?
- Will comms pros be expected to have advanced comms qualifications, either from a university or professional body?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place from 8-9pm UK time – for worldwide times, go here. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will go up on Tuesday morning.
