July 17, 2017 #CommsChat on PR and brand campaigns
Given that this year’s Wimbledon has drawn to a close, and Southern Railway’s intern Eddie has hit the headlines, this week on #CommsChat, we’re talking about PR and brand campaigns. Brands often partner with events to enhance their company reputation and expand their product market. We’ll look at the opportunities this presents, what brands must be wary on and how social media can help make or break reputation.
The topics are:
- What can companies do to take advantage of current events? How can they avoid being disrespectful or breaking rules?
- How can brands ensure any campaigns and partnerships are authentic to their purpose?
- What can brands do to avoid reputational disaster – particularly if using social media?
- What is the best or worst PR campaign of 2017 so far? Why?
- What is the future for the PR and brand campaign relationship?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place every Monday, from 8-9pm GMT. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will be posted to Storify on Tuesday morning. We’d love to hear your suggestions for future topics – please get in touch with Amy at amy.sandys@communicatemagazine.co.uk or contact us on Twitter with any ideas.
