November 8, 2013 #CommsChat on #brandvandals
This week it’s a #commschat/#brandvandals special as authors @wadds and @mynameisearl join our weekly discussion. We’ll talk about the book, social engagement and the difference between complaining and brand vandalism.
Some topics include:
- Is the relationship between an organisation and its audience really a war? How bad can it get?
- Is social media mobilising the angry mob or is it merely an outlet for people who moan and bitch? How do you tell whether something is an act of vandalism or just caustic criticism?
- Who are the individuals that are holding organisations to account and how are they doing it?
- Consumers have the opportunity to voice opinion yet levels of disillusionment are higher than ever. What’s broken?
- How can the ire of brand vandals be turned to a brand’s advantage?
- How should organisations deal with #BrandVandals?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place from 8-9pm UK time – for worldwide times, go here. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will go up on Tuesday morning.
We’d love to hear your suggestions for future topics for #CommsChat – get in touch with Brittany by email or Twitter if you’ve got ideas.
