Thank you everyone for your input tonight, another great chat, and thank you to our guests at

  11.

a great way to grow advocacy among staff

  12.

we did weekly wins/opps meetings @ my internship that kept everyone on track. could discuss app use then.

  13.

Depends on objectives but keeping App simple initially and user feedback to inform development

  14.

Make sure the app is design to benefit they employees, not the company

  15.

RT : A5 The approach is to make sure the app is suited it need and should compatible to all devices.

  16.

I think some companies are yet to find best approach for apps. Looking at how best to meet business objectives.

  17.

Encourage others to use the app by showing its use and benefits. Lead by example.

  18.

A5 The approach is to make sure the app is suited it need and should compatible to all devices.

  19.

How can you go about implementing or improving an internal app in your organisation?

  20.

Yes! Time rethink the annual ‘tick-box’ employee engagement survey & get a continuous feel of your companys pulse

  21.

A5: A drive to reduce email traffic and creating opps for real time feedback incl polls/pulse checks

  22.

Ditto!Another channel to engage with every level of the company & reinforce values & culture across multi-sites

  23.

A5 First adapters are company’s most successful agents. They become examples for others to emulate for similar success.

  24.

    so true!

  25.

A5 Companies we’re speaking to are keen to get their comms seen using mobile as a channel but also generating employee voice

  26.

Totally agree. It should not be about the channel but about the outcomes / change wanted

  27.

Hopefully a useful tool you’ll love to use as it benefits your working day! 🙂

  28.

couldn’t agree more. Important to have clear objectives like any other channel.

  29.

Absolutely! Understanding your audience, your employees, will be essential in adoption strategy

  30.

RT : Needs to answer a need, not just be implemented for the sake of it, and clear goals

  31.

Yes many people get excited by the ideas of apps, having clear purpose in essential to its success

  32.

Apps — or any other change — should not be identified with a generation. Acceptance needs to be universal.

  33.

A tool… And if created well, simple to use and monitor engagement.

  34.

Needs to answer a need, not just be implemented for the sake of it, and clear goals

  35.

agreed, access to more than messaging without becoming a mobile intranet however.

  36.

A4 "Now you’re giving me yet ANOTHER piece of software to have to learn and MORE info to consume???"

  37.

Yes Phil! You don’t want them to be a top down push of comms or employee will switch off

  38.

A4: strategic implementation approach definitely key. Working with champions at every level to embed.

  39.

RT : A4: The most basic problem is to remember to check apps, stay engaged with conversations going on

  40.

That’s where timely and relevant push notifications can really help to continue the conversation

  41.

A4 how to ensure the mobile app is light and easy to load data with all slow connectivity.

  42.

    financial and security issues

  43.

adoption is key. Helps to explain how app offers easy info employees need – not just comms messages.

  44.

A4 change is always tough; and then just getting ppl to read information b/c we’re all already so overloaded w/ info

  45.

Great point & you should be looking at strategies for all types/ages of employee not just thinking millennials!
