September 4, 2012 TRANSCRIPT OF 3 SEPTEMBER #COMMSCHAT: THE DIGITAL IMPACT AWARDS AND REBRANDING
Last night’s #CommsChat looked at the shortlist for the upcoming 2012 Digital Impact Awards as well as discussing the topic of re-branding and digital design. We were joined by guests Debbie Harvey (@Debbie_FPCG), marketing and communications manager at Ferrier Pearce and Jesse Swash (@dbstructure), the creative director of Design by Structure.
You can read a full transcript below, but here are a few interesting tweets that caught our eye during the hour’s chat:
@mynewsdesk_uk: Effective digital design today is about simplicity, usability and facilitating the spreading of an idea, a story or a product #CommsChat
@Debbie_FPCG: See what your competitors do/don’t do well, think about the users, their journey on your website to make it better #CommsChat
@jeremywaite: Your brand isn’t what YOU say it is. It’s what your CUSTOMERS say it is #CommsChat
@dbstructure: If what you’re doing feels exciting and different, and appropriate for your client then you’ll be standing out in the best way #CommsChat
@digiconvs: @jeremywaite @jgombita SM is indeed like storytelling but the one consumers want, what they want, how they want it to be told #CommsChat
We’d like to thank our guests for taking part and hope they and everyone else enjoyed this week’s #CommsChat.
