September 21, 2012 Shock, horror: #CommsChat with Will McInnes
On Monday 24 September, we’ll be joined by Will McInnes on #CommsChat. Will is the author of Culture Shock: A Handbook for 21st Century Business, and the hour’s conversation will focus on changing expectations of how businesses should behave and the movement of revolutionary businesses that are emerging in the 21st century.
Will co-founded NixonMcInnes, and consults with major brands across Europe including Barclays, Cisco, First Group, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Telefonica O2, and WWF. His book discusses modern business culture and its impact on behaviour.
Topics covered during the hour will include:
- What are some examples of companies who have radically changed how businesses are seen to behave?
- What are the fundamental consequences for businesses of humans connecting to each other on the internet?
- How do we measure the value of social media in terms of social business?
- What are the hard commercial realities that progressive, radical businesses have to face, and how do we deal with them?
- How does traditional business culture interact with modern, 21st century business culture?
#CommsChat takes place from 8-9pm (UK time) each Monday evening. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will go up on Tuesday morning.
We’d love to hear your suggestions for future topics for #CommsChat – get in touch with Molly by email or Twitter if you’ve got ideas.
