February 6, 2014 #CommsChat on viral content
This week, we’re going to look at one of the main issues relating to content: shareability. Content is well-established now as a necessity in corporate communications. The problem remains, however, that there is so much content available, that getting your content read requires an extra something. We’ll be joined by Lucia from content strategist @IlexContent, who will take us through shareability, going viral and generating interesting content. Read their blog on viral content.
Topics include:
- Why is going viral appealing to corporate content producers?
- What role does sharing play in content popularity?
- Can you go too far with clickbait?
- How should companies revamp their content to make it more shareable?
- What role does multimedia play?
- How does comms strategy shape content development?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place from 8-9pm UK time – for worldwide times, go here. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will go up on Tuesday morning.
We’d love to hear your suggestions for future topics for #CommsChat – get in touch with Brittany by email or Twitter if you’ve got ideas.
