April 3, 2017 #CommsChat on social media for leaders in organisations
This week on #CommsChat, we’re joined by Gemma Dale and Tim Scott, co-founders of HR and social media business consultancy, the Work Consultancy, to chat about why an effective social media strategy for communicators is so important. We’ll look at what organisations can do to ensure the wider work force is on board with communications strategies, how comms leaders can keep up with a change in pace for social media and the risks/rewards of integrating a social media strategy into wider communications.
The topics are:
- Why should communications leaders be proficient with social media? Which social media strategies are most effective?
- What myths still persist around social media in orgs? How can communicators deal with these?
- How can communicators can encourage their wider organisation to get social?
- What are the risks and rewards of integrating social media into comms strategy?
- What does social media mean to you in your role?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place every Monday, from 8-9pm GMT. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will be posted to Storify on Tuesday morning. We’d love to hear your suggestions for future topics – please get in touch with Amy at amy.sandys@communicatemagazine.co.uk or contact us on Twitter with any ideas.
