This week's chat

July 31, 2017 #CommsChat on measurement in IC

After our most popular ever #CommsChat poll, this week on #CommsChat we’re looking at metrics and measurement in internal comms. We’re asking why measurement is so important and how factors such as remote workforces can affect outcomes. We’ll also discuss methods used to measure internal communication engagement level and what our followers think are the best examples of metrics and frameworks for measuring IC. Follow @CommsChat on Twitter and use the hashtag #CommsChat to get involved.

The topics are:

  • Which methods are used to measure internal comms? What is most effective?
  • What can be considered successful IC engagement? Do expected levels of engagement ever match reality?
  • How can working with a remote workforce impact successful engagement/measurement?
  • How does aligning comms objectives to broader organisational objectives aid measurement?
  • What are some examples of good IC measurement frameworks? Why are they effective?

Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place every Monday, from 8-9pm GMT. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will be posted to Storify on Tuesday morning. We’d love to hear your suggestions for future topics – please get in touch with Amy at amy.sandys@communicatemagazine.co.uk or contact us on Twitter with any ideas.
