April 12, 2019 #CommsChat on leaks, whistleblowers and communications
In the wake of Julian Assange’s arrest, we’ll be looking at the mechanisms in place within an organisation that protect it’s reputation and communications. We’ll look at media leaks, whistleblowers and the need for internal comms security.
Topics include:
- How should companies respond to information leaks in the media?
- What protections exist to safeguard a company’s reputation and critical information?
- What role does internal comms play in safeguarding against leaks and comms failures?
- What impact do whistleblowers have on a company’s reputation? How can communicators safeguard against reputational damage?
- Should communications be the frontline against reputational damage in the media as a result of leaks, whistleblowers or poor security?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place every Monday, from 8-9pm GMT. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will be posted to Commschat.com on Tuesday morning. We’d love to hear your suggestions for future topics – please get in touch with Brittany via Twitter or email or contact us on Twitter with your ideas.
