January 6, 2017 #CommsChat on internal comms in the public sector
This week on #CommsChat, we’re looking at internal communications in the public sector. We welcome director of communications and stakeholder engagement at South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust, Ranjeet Kaile, to talk about the challenges facing public sector IC profs and how to maintain engagement in the face of sometimes negative forecasts. We’ll also look at if and how crisis comms form part of the job role, and the best things about working in public sector IC.
The topics are:
- What makes public sector IC unique?
- How can IC professionals ensure productivity remains high in the face of adversity?
- Is managing crisis comms a part of the job role? If so, how?
- How do you keep up with the pace of change in public sector IC?
- Are there any examples of campaigns which promote internal public sector engagement? What are your favourites?
- What is the best thing about working in public sector IC?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place every Monday, from 8-9pm GMT. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter. If you can’t make the chat or would like to revisit it, a transcript will be posted to Storify on Tuesday morning. We’d love to hear your suggestions for future topics – please get in touch with Amy at amy.sandys@communicatemagazine.co.uk or contact us on Twitter with any ideas.
