June 13, 2013 #CommsChat on IC with the big yak

On 21 June, 180 internal communications professionals will descend on Richmond to attend the big yak, the IC Crowd‘s first unconference.

“The agenda is set by you,” The IC Crowd says, “In true unconference (or free-to-attend conference if you prefer that name) style, you decide what the topics are and we will pull together the sessions for you with facilitators from across the industry. The way this works is we will have a wall and a huge stack of post-its and based on what you say are the hot topics, this will determine the sessions.”

On Monday, we’ll be joined by Rachel Miller (@allthingsIC), Jenni Wheller (@jenniwheller) and Dana Leeson (@theICcrowd) who will discuss the following topics:

• On Sat we’re holding an unconference, #thebigyak, for IC pros. Why do you think this format is becoming popular?
• We’re keen to discuss relevant topics at #thebigyak. What are the key trends in internal comms from your perspective?
• Our friends at @VMAGroup will be offering career mentoring at #thebigyak. What’s your number one career question?
