September 12, 2019 #CommsChat on cultivating young talent
Agencies and in-house teams across the UK have focused on encouraging young people to take up careers in communications. But, how is that young talent cultivated and engaged, particularly as the desires of young people with regards to their relationships with employers are changing? Check out the Transform Young Contenders awards to nominate your young design and strategic talent. Topics include:
- How do young people discover the opportunities of careers in communications? Can comms professionals work with schools and unis on this?
- What kinds of training, internship or apprenticeship programmes work best? Why?
- What can the comms industry do to ensure better understanding of communications among BAME audiences?
- For young professionals, what kinds of resources exist to encourage they stay in communications?
- What can employers do to help develop the skills of young professionals? What could be done better to support young professionals?
Join us! We tweet from @CommsChat and #CommsChat takes place every Monday, from 8-9pm GMT. Anyone can take part in the discussion – simply follow the hashtag here or on Twitter.
